Believe it or not, there are many enterprises still think it is very complicated to do outsource for their plastic injection mold or injection molding project from overseas. All we need to do is, find the RELIABLE supplier. With the right people efficient team, you will figure out that things are much easier than thought.

Lyter Engineering Ltd. is expert on plastic injection mold making, we have brought our tooling and engineering expertise to European and American customers for over 10 years. Here below we would like to introduce our standard process from start to delivery.

1. RFQ for Plastic Injection Mold or Molded Parts

Reverse Engineering - If you have the actual plastic parts and would like to make a plastic injection mold for mass production. We can do it with reverse engineering, all you need to do is to send us the master sample, we will create the 3d part model according to the master samples. And then design the plastic injection tooling.

2D/3D Part Data - If it is a new part that you are willing to make, we will need the 2d/3d part data to provide you the quotations. Model in x_t or stp format will work for us.

If all necessary information are clear, we can get back to you with detailed and reasonable quotation sheet in 12-24 hours.

2. PO Release

When we are awarded with purchase order, we will check the final drawings, and make the DFM and mold flow analysis report. It normally takes 2-3 working days. After all items in the DFM clear, we will start to work on the tooling design. It takes 3-4 working days average for injection mold design engineering. From DFM to design, as a reliable plastic injection tooling supplier, we always keep close communication with our customers by emails, phone calls or video conference, aiming to be efficient and avoid any misunderstandings.

3. Timeline and Weekly Status Update

Upon tooling design approval, a timeline will be provided including the T1 date and each manufacture process’s timing. During this plastic mould making time, we will also update the weekly status report with pictures reflecting the latest project status once or twice a week, to offer a real-time report to our customers.

4. Mold Trial Report, FAI, Delivery

After previous technical discussion, design, and manufacturing, finally it is the time to test the plastic injection mold. After the mold trial, a professional trial video with at least one cycle time and the first article inspection report will be submitted to customers for review. Meanwhile, we will ship the T1 samples to customer for check and assemble test. If everything are good, we will then prepare for mold shipment.

For overseas transportation, if customers have no shipping agent, we can assist on the arrangement as well.
